Your goal at this point is to get the information to remain in your head, and one of the most effective and time-tested ways of doing so is called repetition. The best way to go about this type of learning is to learn one note, then a second one. Before moving on to the third note, you must make sure that you already perfectly remember the previous ones.

Another great memory trick is called association, and it has been proven to be extremely effective to recall things. If you can manage to associate that which you are learning with something that is already deeply encrusted into your mind then you will have a much easier time remembering it.
